HI FLY is a leading widebody aircraft wet lease specialist operating worldwide, with an Airbus fleet. The wet lease business market is very demanding, and airlines are increasingly opting for wet lease solutions as they are found to be reliable, safe, and efficient. For that reason, Hi Fly fleet is steadily growing with new widebody additions in the coming months.

 

Considering the evolving scope of the Safety Management System (Operations, CAMO, Part-145 and Part-21), we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Safety Officer (Part-CAMO) to join our team.

 

The Safety Officer, plays a pivotal role in ensuring passenger and aircraft safety. They oversee safety procedures, conduct thorough analysis, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and strive for an efficient and safe operation. By supporting the identification and assessment of hazards, and the implementation of risk mitigations, the Safety Officer maintains a safe and efficient operational environment. Their efforts and proactive strategies uphold our commitment to the safety policy.

 

Within the Safety Department this role progresses into the Deputy Safety Manager (Part-CAMO) role.

 

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the analysis of technical events per regulatory standards (Part-CAMO, Part-145, Part-21). Manage technical investigations, occurrence reports, and compliance findings. Assist in the analysis of occurrences, incidents, and accidents to identify underlying root causes and contributing factors;
  • Present findings, significant events, concerns, analysis and trends to the Departmental Safety Action Group (DSAG), to the Joint Safety Action Group (JSAG) and to the Safety Review Board (SRB). Prepare and coordinate technical inputs for the SMS meetings, including statistical data analysis;
  • Work with the civil aviation authorities, clients, internal departments, Fleet Manager, Technical Pilot and maintenance providers on occurrence reports and follow-ups. Represent the Safety Department on technical meetings;
  • Develop and maintain the Hazard and Risk Assessment Log. Identify hazards and propose safety recommendations. Support departments with risk assessments and risk mitigation actions. Monitor risk control effectiveness;
  • Monitor and improve Safety Performance Indicators;
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections and safety meetings and liaise with other departments on safety issues.
  • Regularly report to the Safety Manager on SMS performance and suggest continuous improvements;
  • Promote the Safety Management System throughout the company and deliver SMS training.
  • Support the FDM program with CAMO related events through analysis, coordination and communication with flight crews, CAMO and Part-145's;
  • Assist in maintaining and improving the Emergency Response Plan;
  • Deputize for the Safety Manager, when appointed by the Safety Manager or the Accountable Manager.

 

SOME OF OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering or other relevant aviation-related field;
  • Knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness, Line or Base Maintenance relevant to the Hi Fly fleet;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the aviation industry, ideally in a CAMO environment;
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations, including Part-CAMO;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of the Hi Fly SMS and organizational challenges;
  • SMS training and/or Human Factors and/or Aircraft Accident Investigation and/or Risk Management (preferable).
